When the going gets tough, Mike gets going

It's been a tough week for everyone. Barnet had the worst snowfall for years. It's times like this that I'm glad Mike Freer is the man in charge. Read this press release about how Barnet Gritters were on the road from 3am on Friday, in preparation for the snow.

Read this story from the London Daily News to see how other boroughs have struggled

You won't see too much thanks on the other blogs for Mike or the council's workers. You will here. Thanks

Statler and I are not convinced. From what we here if this is 'business as usual' Barnet is a truly rubbish Council.

* Dead unburied (Council crematoria shut)
* Rubbish piled in the streets (no refuse collection)
* Schools shut (even though there were enough teachers but they were scared due to 'health and safety)

Sounds more like the Winter of Discontent than "Business as Usual".

Mike Freer sounds like Callaghan exclaiming, "Crisis, what crisis" and chaos went on all around.

P.S. We know the "London Daily News" is your publication... it's hilarious that you pretend it's not.

Off to risk our lives walking on ungritted pavements.

Dear, dear girl,

We haven't been let out, we've never been in.

However we are delighted that our taxes are paying for internet access in the NHS Loony House.

Enjoy your padded walled luxury,

With fuzzy hugs,
