Mike is making a name for himself

Everyone is sitting up and taking note of Mike's innovative leadership in London. Ken Livingstone was talking about Mike on his show on LBC 97.3 this morning. The Guardian had not 1, not 2 but 3 articles about Barnet this week.

The truth is that the left is scared to death of Mike. They know his policies will save a fortune and will see substantial reductions in Council taxes. Once Mike has proven that the ideas work in Barnet, Conservative Councils up and down the country will follow the lead Mike has given. This will result in a sea change in the way councils are run and may well see the end of Socialism at Council level.

It won't surprise me at all if Mike Freer becomes the second Conservative prime minister from Finchley.

Dear Councillors,

Have you not seen this? http://www.notthebarnettimes.co.uk/2009/08/cameron-disowns-freers-plan-to-shaft.html

"David Cameron's aides have disassociated themselves from Freer's proposals, which do not reflect national Conservative policy. A senior Tory source told the Telegraph: “This is not seen as a blueprint. Barnet have gone their way and that's fine but there is no wider significance as far as David is concerned.”"

Is it not really the case that Barnet is seen as a political liability to David Cameron? Whereas excellent Conservative Councils, such as Westminster and Hammersmith & Fulham, have effectively brought their Conservative voters with them, in Barnet the Council is seen as 'nasty' and 'incompetent'.

Just ask yourself why David Cameron is the first Leader to distance himself from one of his own Councils since Neil Kinnock's brave Labour Party Conference speech against that other loony Council, Militant Liverpool?

It is just as well Michael Whitney Freer is the PPC for Finchley as anyone else would be pulling their hair out right now as the Conservative votes drained away.

Oh and dear Councillors,

We'll see and end to Socialism when Michael Whitney Freer stands down in October. Hopefully the next leader of the, so called, Conservative Group will not follow the socialist housing policies despised by Boris Johnson of forcing thousands of rabbit hutch flats on a Barnet that wants and needs family housing.

Oh I see S&W the Barnet muppets are back doing their single white female act!

Dear Councillor Amanda,

If anyone would be worthy of that accolade it would be none other than yourself.

We are proud to support those who, like David Cameron, wants lower taxes, less waste and a revolution in openness. However Michael Whitney Freer (your colleague) calls fellow Conservatives who challenge him and call for such measures malicious w*nkers.

Reports suggest David Cameron will slash Cabinet pay whereas Michael Whitney Freer has voted again and again for huge increases in Councillors pay, and is about to award his close chum Melvin Cohen an extra £10k for attending 4 meetings a year.

When the voters get to hear about this they will rise up and who knows what will happen in the forthcoming selections.

Will surely be an interesting few months!

With fuzzy hugs,

My dearest Ex-Councillor,

Our Party is a broad church, where a wide range of views and opinions are tolerated. Most of us refrain from criticising other members in public.

When you realise this, maybe you will realise that nobody takes you seriously anymore.

Exactly who do you want to win in Finchley and Golders Green, please tell us all?

Dear Councillors,

Mrs T, you should really stay off of the sherry before blogging. We don't know who you are addressing or what you are gabbling on about!

Of course, we both really look forward to David Cameron forming the next government after the next General Election. How silly to suggest otherwise,

With fuzzy hugs,
